Kaialii, have you read a review on this book? I ask because I have read articles about Michelle from this writer and I wondered if I really wanted to buy this book.I could not find a review at Amazon.

Eric Adelson is a sports writer for ESPN.com. First off the title of the book rubs me the wrong way - ... the making and unmaking of a Golf Phenom... part makes me wonder if this is a hit job on Michelle.

So I researched Eric Adelson's articles. In 2006 & 2007 he wrote articles on Michelle when she was at her lowest in dealing with her wrist injury with titles, "Wie's comeback doomed right from the start", "little sympathy", throwing everything in these articles he could find of a negative or non flattering remark or even hearsay nonsense about her parents. well, I call it hearsay.
Beginning in Oct. 2008, suddenly it's "Michelle Wie can change the World". Hmmmmmm, Michelle must be playing better.
On Dec. 2, 2008 the day before LPGA Q-School he had another article about Michelle where his topic was: "is Q-School this week the end of the beginning for Wie? Or the beginning of the end.?"

Later in the article he said, "Wie is just another good, young golfer, rather than the future of the sport"
On the same page of these statements are Q-School results day 1-5. Which, of course gave Eric a whole new light about Wie's future in golf which was happening right in front of his eyes!
So, what I am saying - was the book written when Eric thought Michelle was just a "good young golfer, rather than the future of the sport"? And if the book is full of 2006, 2007 and ends there why would we want to buy it and read it!

Kaialii... I did not listen to the audio with the author so I don't know what he had to say.

As for the latest book no wonder I could't find a review - not out until June 2009.

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.
